Arafat Raihan is student of the department of sociology and Branch Secretary of students League, beat the journalist for not allowing him to sit on a chair in the tea shop in Chittagong University.At that time, the victim journalist identified himself as a media worker, but a group of 10-12 people led by leader of Cu student League Khalid Masood and Arafat Raihan attacked on the journalist and started kicking him in the stomach.

Dost Mohammad is a 16-17 session’s student of Communication and Journalism department in University. He is a member of Chittagong University Journalists Association and representative of online news portal Dhaka State.
As the victim student was not allowed to sit on a chair when he went to have tea at the tea shop, Khaled Masud, legal affairs secretary of the students League, said, “Who did you get permission from?” Later, when they got into a verbal argument, Khaled Masud poured hot tea on his face and hit the victim on the head with a tea cup.Immediately a group of 10 to 12 members of the Students League came and brutally attacked the journalist and started kicking him in the stomach. And through this, the victim journalist was seriously injured and it is known through various sources that he is undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical.
The Chancellor of chittagong University Professor Dr. Chabi assured that whoever is involved in the barbaric attack on the journalist will be permanently expelled if the allegations are proven. Shireen Akhtar She also said that the university will file a case as a plaintiff. The chancellor also said that, the investigation committee should submit the investigation report quickly.
The university administration announced a three-member investigation committee to investigate this brutal attack. The convener of this three-member committee is the principal of Alaol Hall and the professor Faridul Alam department of international relations. In addition, member secretary assistant proctor. Md. Morshedul Alam and Associate Professor Shah Newaz Institute of Marine Science have been kept as members.
