In the opening match of the 22nd edition of the World Cup at the Al Bait Stadium in Qatar, Ecuador, one of the superpowers of Latin America, is the host. Before this, the grand opening ceremony will begin at 8 pm Bangladesh time.
The opening ceremony will be held at Al Bayat Stadium, which has a capacity of about 60,000 people. World famous artists and musicians will entertain the audience. American singer Lil Baby and Bollywood superstar Nora Fatehi will perform at the opening ceremony.
Lil Bobby will sing the official theme song of the 22nd edition of the World Cup ‘The World is Yours to Take’. Nora Fatehi will grace the stage in this song. Manal and Rehma will be with Nora. Apart from this, the popular Korean band BTS will take the stage.
The opening ceremony will end with a 45-minute fireworks display. After that, the football players of the hosts Qatar and Ecuador will enter the field.
32 teams are participating in eight groups in the 22nd edition of the World Cup. There are 4 teams in each group. Each team will get a chance to play 3 matches. Where the top two teams in the points table will secure tickets to the last sixteen. The knockout stage will start from that. Quarter finals, semi finals, third place and title deciding matches will be held in this phase.
