The foreign adviser said this at a day-long conference on the occasion of 30 years of CPD at the BRAC Inn Center in Mohakhali of the capital on Sunday afternoon. He claimed that all the news like the persecution of minorities and the rise of the Taliban government were baseless.
Adviser Touhid Hossain said, ‘Indian media is not happy about the popular uprising in Bangladesh. They are carrying out propaganda designed to portray this country as a terrorist state to the world. The Indian media is also running absurd propaganda that the minorities are being persecuted in this country and the Taliban government is rising.’
The foreign advisor also commented that the kind of discussion about Bangladesh in the Indian media will not be pleasant for either of the two countries.
Tauhid Hossain said that despite talking about increasing regional communication, the Awami League government has not shown any political will to strengthen relations in the last 15 years.
