An influential man named Khalil Sheikh occupied the place of the freedom fighter in Faridpur’s Madhukhali.
In this incident, the freedom fighter’s son filed a written complaint with UNO and OC. There is anger among the locals in this incident of openly occupying the freedom fighter’s land. The local residents urged the administration to immediately remove the structures and clear the occupation of the land of the freedom fighters.
The deceased freedom fighter Dwijendranath Saha was a resident of Kamarkhali market in Madukhali upazila. He was the central leader of the Chhatra League. He died in 2002. Before his death, he left 15 percent land in Kamarkhali Bazar in his own name. The land was abandoned.

After some time we got the news that hundreds of people led by Khalil Sheikh came to our place and occupied the place and are building tin shed houses. When I went to the place quickly to stop the construction work, I was removed with threats. After calling the police station, the police came and stopped the work. Later, when the police left, they started working again. When the police came again, they left. In this incident, I have made a written complaint to the upazila executive officer and the officer-in-charge of the police station.
Officer-in-charge of Madhukhali police station. Miraj Hossain said that the police were sent to the spot after receiving the news. Construction work has been stopped. Muktijodhaputra Soler Saha has complained about this, necessary measures will be taken.
