Dhaka-Chittagong highway will be closed for two and a half hours every Tuesday and Wednesday. Traffic will be closed for 5 hours on two days for U-turn construction work and gantry shifting at Pakka road head area in Salimpur Union of Sitakunda part of the highway.

The Roads and Highways (District Road Department, Chittagong) department said that all traffic will be closed on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway from 5 am to 7:30 am on Tuesday and Wednesday (February 13 and 14).

Pintu Chakma, executive engineer of the Chittagong division of District Road Department, said that the Dhaka-Chittagong highway will be closed to avoid any kind of accident during the work of U-turn under construction and shifting of gantry. A letter has been sent to the concerned departments for this.

He expressed his grief to the public and passengers for the two days of temporary suffering.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bar Auliya Highway Police Station Khokon Chandranath said that the District Road Department, Chittagong Department said that the Dhaka-Chittagong highway will be closed for two and a half hours for two and a half hours for five hours on two days. However, it has been asked to increase the manpower to finish the work quickly so that it does not take much time.
