The Ambassador of the Philippines was impressed by the painting of Chittagong’s rickshaws and the back of the rickshaws. He also enjoyed the beauty of Chittagong’s mountains and sea. And seeing the beauty of Chittagong, he wrote the poem ‘Ode to Chittagong’ about Chittagong. He came to Chittagong and told the mayor that poem. He is the Ambassador of the Philippines, Leo Tito L. Asan Jr.

On Sunday (February 11), he had a courtesy meeting with the mayor at the head office of Chittagong City Corporation. At this time, Leo Tito expressed his feelings about Chittagong.

They discussed various aspects of the future development of the two Asian countries. The mayor said that if the existing good relations between the two Asian countries Bangladesh and the Philippines are utilized, both countries can benefit financially and culturally. As a result of extensive investment, Chittagong has become an important center of foreign investment. The Philippines will be very profitable if it invests in Chittagong to utilize this golden opportunity.

Meanwhile, Philippine Ambassador Leo Tito L Asan Jr. said, ‘I am so impressed by the beauty of Chittagong that I have written a poem about Chittagong. I like the rickshaw, the painting and decoration of the rickshaw is very nice. Chittagong, full of mountains, rivers, trees and colorful flowers, should invest heavily in the tourism sector.

He said, ‘I think the tourism sector can make Chittagong an attractive destination in the world. Especially since foreign investors regularly come to Chittagong, they can visit various tourist spots during their leisure time. As a result, Chittagong will become not only a commercial city but also a leisure and entertainment city.

The Mayor also highlighted the success in the education and health sectors including Ocean Amusement Park under the initiative of Chittagong City Corporation and expressed hope to work in the development of the tourism sector.
