Chittagong is switching to digital vaccination record storage, City Corporation’s agreement with Robi

The private mobile service provider ‘Robi’ has signed an agreement with the Chittagong City Corporation to make the vaccination program technology-based. After this agreement, all information related to vaccination in the city will be stored digitally, where previously the information was stored manually.

From now on, the next vaccination dose will be sent to the beneficiary through a message on the mobile phone, and due to modernization, timely vaccination can be ensured. This digital ticker service will be operated through 228 tabs and 245 data sims.

On Sunday (January 28) at the temporary head office of Chittagong City Corporation, City Mayor Md. In the presence of Rezul Karim Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Muhammad Touhidul Islam on behalf of City Corporation and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Accentech, a subsidiary of Robi Aziata Limited. Adil Hossain signed the Nobel agreement.

Under the signed agreement, Robi will supply 245 data SIMs, with which the city corporation will digitally store and use all the vaccination data using the e-tracker through the tab.

In collaboration with UNICEF, the city corporation will digitally collect all immunization information through 228 tabs instead of the earlier manual method.

Panel Mayor Gias Uddin Chowdhury, Councilor Nishar Uddin Manju, Shafiqul Islam, Abul Hasnat were present at the meeting. Belal, Secretary Khaled Mahmud, Mayor’s Private Secretary Abul Hashem, Chief Revenue Officer Nazrul Islam, Chief Accounting Officer Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, Chief Health Officer Dr. Md. Imam Hussain Rana, Superintending Engineer Jhulan Kumar Das.
