4 kg 540 grams of gold was found under the seat of a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Sharjah at Shah Amanat International Airport.
On Saturday (January 13), NSI and customs detectives of Chittagong airport recovered these gold.
An official said, NSI Chittagong Airport team and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation conducted a joint operation based on secret information at 8:40 am. 4 kg 540 gm of gold was recovered from under the seat of Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight (BG-152) in an abandoned condition. The estimated value of which is 3 crore 89 lakh 71 thousand 360 taka.
As all recovered gold is seized by customs, the entire value of the gold will be treated as government revenue.
