The police recovered a 16-year-old boy’s throat-slit body in Karnaphuli, Chittagong. His body was recovered from Nimtala Barabil area of Charlakshya Union of the upazila on Friday (January 12) morning.
The boy’s name is Md. Arif. His house is in Kalamarchhara area of Maheshkhali in Cox’s Bazar district. He drove a battery operated autorickshaw.
Karnaphuli Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zahir Uddin said, ‘Thursday (January 11) around five o’clock in the afternoon, Arif left the garage with an autorickshaw like every day. He did not return home at night.
Today (Friday) around 9 am, locals found his dead body while walking along the road. After receiving the information, the police recovered the body. His autorickshaw was also not found. Police are conducting an operation to arrest those involved in the incident.
