The Jatiya Party has selected the final candidates for the 289 seats to contest in the national election scheduled for January 7.
On Monday, Mujibul Haque Chunnu, the party secretary general, revealed the names in the Jatiya Party secretary general’s office located in the city’s Banani neighborhood.
Party chief GM Quader will run for the Dhaka-17 seat in the national election, while his spouse will fight for the Dhaka-18 seat.
The contender for the Narayanganj-5 constituency is Salim Osman.
Mymensingh-4 seat has been kept vacant for Raushan Ershad, the party’s chief patron, Mujibul Haque Chunnu said.
He remarked, “Our chief patron has not yet taken her nomination form.”
