Metropolitan BNP member secretary Abu Al Yusuf Khan Tipu was arrested by the police while taking out a procession on the first day of the 48-hour blockade called by BNP Jamaat.
It is known that BNP leaders and activists tried to march in front of the Narayanganj Central Launch Terminal at around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday in support of the blockade. At that time, the police of Narayanganj Sadar Model Police Station arrested him and took him away. At this time, those who came in the procession ran away.
Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, Metropolitan BNP Member Secretary Abu Al Yusuf Khan Tipu led a procession in support of the siege in the city.
In this regard, Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahadat Hossain said that Tipu was arrested while sabotaging the central launch terminal.
