During a press conference held on Tuesday afternoon at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the Secretary General of the BNP, accused ruling party ministers of engaging in a conspiracy to imprisoned Khaleda Zia again by spreading false rumors about her illness.
Fakhrul stated that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has been unwell for quite a long time and has been hospitalized for up to four months due to complicated health issues, including complications related to liver and heart disease, as well as diabetes. He added that these allegations made by the ministers should be viewed as a serious plot to harm the BNP’s leader.
Fakhrul emphasized that Khaleda Zia has the fundamental right to receive medical treatment and that her medical board has recommended that she should be sent abroad for advanced treatment. However, the government has so far ignored these recommendations. Fakhrul further criticized the government for treating the national leader inhumanely by making such false claims about her health.
