Guard of Honor and floral tributes are given to Dr. Zafrullah.

People from all walks of life gathered at the central Shaheed Minar to pay their respects to Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury, the brave freedom fighter and the founder of Gonoshathya Kendra. On Thursday (April 13) at 10:30 am, former chairman of UGC and former VC of Dhaka University Professor AK Azad paid tribute to the revered Zafrullah Chowdhury.

Following that, numerous political parties, professional organizations, and institutions began offering their condolences one after the other. In honor of this man, who dedicated his life to advocating for the welfare of the common people, individuals from various professions who worked tirelessly came to the Shaheed Minar to pay their respects. His colleagues, companions, and trusted allies could be observed offering personal tributes while holding flowers.

Earlier, Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury’s body reached Shaheed Minar from Bardem Hospital’s freezer at 10 am. His family members were in the ambulance carrying the body. His wife Shirin Haque, daughter Srishty Chowdhury and son Mahir Chowdhury were present next to the coffin of the dead body while everyone paid their respects.

At 12:30 p.m., the Dhaka district administration provided a guard of honor to freedom fighter Zafrullah Chowdhury, with the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Hedayet Ullah.

Following his tribute at Shaheed Minar, Dr. Zafarullah’s third funeral will take place at Suhrawardy Udyan at 2:30 p.m. The first janaja was held at his residence, and the second janaja took place on Thursday morning at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Tomorrow, on Friday at 10 a.m., his body will be taken to the public health center in Savar for people to pay their respects. His fourth funeral will take place there after Friday prayers.
