The fire in the capital’s Bangabazar has come under control. It has been confirmed by the fire service. The fire was finally extinguished at 12:36 PM after strenuous six-and-a-half hours. The incident occurred on Tuesday, April 4.
Earlier today, at 6:10 am today, the fire service was notified about the fire, and the first unit of firefighters arrived at the scene at 6:12 am. Initially, the cause of the fire was unknown.
Amidst the devastating fire that occurred in Bangabazar of the capital city, it has been reported that some goods were stolen. Although some goods were found in the shops located on the ground floor of the market, the shopkeepers claimed that their goods had been stolen.
Zahidul, a businessman from Bangabazar, stated that while many goods from their shop were recovered, some were still missing and believed to have been stolen. Unfortunately, some of their goods were also destroyed by the fire.
