Starting from tomorrow, Sunday, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) will implement a new price for the best quality gold (22 carats), which has increased by Tk 1,516. This means that customers will need to purchase a load of good quality gold at the new price of Tk 99,144. Once again, the price of gold has surged in the country’s market.
Enamul Haque Bhuiyan Liton, the Brother Chairman of BAJUS Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee, signed a press release on Saturday announcing the latest development. The notification stated that the price of pure gold has gone up in the local market, which has led to an increase in the current price of gold.
BAJUS has made a new announcement regarding the prices of different carats of gold. As per the announcement, the price for 21-carat gold has been set at Tk 94,653, while 18-carat gold will cost Tk 81,095. For traditional method gold, the price will be Tk 67,570.
While gold prices have increased, the price of silver remains unchanged, with the previous prices still in effect. The current price of 22-carat silver is Tk 1,715, 21-carat silver costs Tk 1,633, 18-carat silver is priced at Tk 1,400, and traditional silver has gone up by Tk 1,050.
