Due to a landslide while cutting hills, three Rohingya people died.

In Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar, three Rohingya individuals lost their lives in a mudslide while engaged in hill-cutting activities on Wednesday (March 29) at around 6 am. The incident occurred in the Muhuripara region of Ukhia Sadar, resulting in several injuries as well.

According to Ukhia Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Mohammad Ali, the tragedy transpired during the nighttime illegal cutting of government hills. The deceased include Zahid Hossain (23), son of Abdul Motaleb, residing in 1-East Rohingya camp in Ukhia, Syed Akbar (20), son of Mohammad Waris, a resident of Rohingya camp No. 3, and Nurul Kabir (26), son of Sultan Ahmad, from Camp No. 17.

The OC further informed that the bodies of the deceased individuals have been transported to Ukhia police station and will be taken to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination.
