In a speech delivered at the second graduation ceremony of Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialized Hospital & Nursing College, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the government’s decision to establish medical universities in every division of the country. The ceremony was held on Wednesday morning (March 15) at the college premises in Tetuibari, Gazipur.

She went on to reveal that the government has already established four medical universities and is committed to establishing more.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including the Vice-Chancellor of Malaysian KPJ Healthcare University Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Lokman Saim, who served as the graduation speaker. Tawfiq bin Ismail, CEO of Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialized Hospital & Nursing College, also delivered a welcome speech.

This announcement by the Prime Minister is expected to have a significant impact on the healthcare sector of Bangladesh, as it will enable the country to produce more qualified doctors and medical professionals to serve the growing population.
