The former British Prime Minister paid a courtesy call on this Saturday (March 4) morning at Ganobhaban in Dhaka.

Tony Blair, who currently serves as the Executive Chairman of the Institute for Global Change, arrived in Dhaka the previous evening for a two-day visit. Foreign Ministry Secretary (West) Sabbir Ahmed Chowdhury welcomed him at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital.

Tony Blair, who led the Labor Party, served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1997 to 2007. He currently holds the position of Executive Chairman at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.

This marks Tony Blair’s third visit to Dhaka. He first came to the city on a state visit in 2002 during his time as the Prime Minister of Britain, and then returned in 2010 with his wife, Cherie Blair.
