Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has announced to reduce the price of liquefied natural gas-LPG. This information has been informed in a circular signed by BERC Secretary Barrister Mo Khalilur Rahman Khan today.
According to the notification, BERC has reduced the price of 12 kg cylinder by 76 taka to 1 thousand 422 taka at the consumer level. Which was one thousand 498 taka last month.
Last on February 2, the price of a 12 kg cylinder was increased by Tk 266 to Tk 1,498. BERC reduced the cylinder price by Tk 76 after a month.
The price of autogas has also decreased. Autogas will be sold at 66 taka 62 paise per unit from now. Earlier, the price of autogas per unit was 69 taka 71 paisa.
According to the press release, apart from the 12 kg cylinder, the prices of all cylinders starting from 5.5 kg to 45 kg have been reduced. However, the price of 12.5 kg cylinder has not changed at the government level. It remains the previous price of 591 taka.
