The President of Awami League and Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, does not possess any official identification on social media, most notably Facebook or Twitter. This information was disclosed by MM Imrul Kayes, the Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary, in a press release on the day of the disclosure.
As per the press release, it has been observed that a certain Twitter account has been falsely promoted as the official account of the respected Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. However, this claim is entirely untrue. The press release made it clear that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina does not maintain any account on Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media platform.
To avoid any confusion, MM Imrul Kayes, the Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary, urged everyone to be mindful of this fact. It is essential to note that any social media account claiming to be the official account of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina should not be trusted.
