Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said that the new curriculum will be taught in classrooms for five days a week, and how long educational institutions will be closed is a matter of policy decision. Our new curriculum will have five days of classroom teaching.

She said these things in response to a question from journalists at Chandpur Circuit House on Thursday morning.

The Education Minister said it is approved in the new curriculum. Last year the institute had six days of classes. At that time we had classes for five days due to power outage. I said at that time, there will be five days of classes next year. As is the rule all over the world, in Bangladesh we will have five days of classroom teaching and two days off.

She said that no teacher was appointed in the technical department for the previous 10 years. All the teachers have been appointed in the last four years. There are always some teachers retiring, so some posts fall vacant, and we fill them with that demand. This recruitment process is not very easy. At the moment we have no shortage of teachers. If there is a void somewhere, it is being filled.

At that time, Deputy Commissioner Kamrul Hasan, Superintendent of Police Md Milan Mahmud, District Awami League Organizing Secretary Tafazzal Hossain Sdu Patwari and other government officials and political leaders were present.
