Çağdaş Çankaya and his wife were among the thousands of people who died under the rubble in the wake of the earthquake. The news of their deaths has been confirmed on Instagram by the production company Bozdağ Film.
A picture of the couple was shared by the production company with the caption expressing regret: “We wish God’s mercy on our valuable player Çağdaş Çankaya, his wife and all our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake, and our condolences to their relatives. May your place be heaven.”
It should be noted that the death toll from the February 6 earthquake in Türkiye and Syria has exceeded 34,000, with 29,605 deaths occurring in Türkiye and 4,500 deaths in Syria.
