He said these things after distributing winter clothes to the needy at the residence of district Awami League president late M Safiullah in Chandpur on Sunday afternoon.
Regarding EVMs, he said that the previous commission had bought one and a half lakh EVMs. Many elections in the country have been conducted with these EBMs. Some of these EVMs have been rendered useless. We are verifying them, after verification they will be used for re-selection.
He also said that the commission will do whatever is necessary to create a fair and beautiful election environment, after that the commission has no legal obligation if no one comes to the election.
