RAB has conducted a raid in Cox’s Bazar’s Ukhia camp and arrested ‘Jamaatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya’s Shura member and head of the military wing Ranbir and his associate bomb expert Bashar.
According to RAB, firing took place during the raid in the area adjacent to the Kutupalong Rohingya camp on Monday morning. Local and foreign arms and ammunition have been recovered from the spot.
Khandkar Al Moin, chief commander of RAB’s law and media wing, confirmed this information and said, “The raid was conducted based on the information that militants take shelter in the Kutupalong Rohingya camp’s adjacent area in Cox’s Bazar. Sensing RAB’s presence, militants start firing. Later, RAB arrested the head of the militant organization’s military wing Ranbir and his associate bomb expert Bashar from the scene.”
