Body of a doctor was discovered at the CMC hostel with a message

The hanging body of an intern doctor was found in the hostel of Comilla Medical College (CMC). He was wearing an apron at that time. A note was also found in the doctor’s room. It read, ‘No one is responsible for my death but me’.

Comilla Kotwali Model Police Station at 12:00 pm on Wednesday (January 18) recovered the body from the hostel located in the courtyard of the Medical College.

The doctor’s name is Minhaj Abedin Bhuiyan (26). He is a 24th batch student of Comilla Medical College. He was working as an intern doctor. His house is in Mirsarai, Chittagong, sources say.

An intern doctor working at Comilla Medical College Hospital told reporters that Minhaj was supposed to go on duty at the hospital at 10.00 pm on Wednesday. His colleagues went to Minhaj’s room to find him as he did not report for duty even after 11.00 pm. At that time, they saw his hanging body while wearing an apron. After receiving information, the authority along with the police recovered the body and kept it in Comilla Medical College Hospital morgue.

Inspector (Investigation) Trinath Saha of Comilla Kotwali Model Police Station told reporters at midnight on Wednesday that the hanging body of an intern doctor of Comilla Medical College was found and recovered. Details will be known after the autopsy. They will investigate the incident.
