Education Minister highlighted the priority of the government in the education sector. Dipu Moni said, ‘At present, in the global economic recession, the prices of all the materials for making books including paper, ink are unbridled. Even in such a situation, the government has given priority to the education sector. That is why new books will be given to all the students of the country on the first day of January.
Deepu Moni also said at a function in Natore city on Tuesday afternoon on the occasion of Great Victory Day, ‘Since the Awami government came to power, considering the young children, they have delivered books to them on the first day of the year. Even during the past corona pandemic, books were handed over to students on January 1, despite the economic recession.
She said that the government has taken initiatives to introduce knowledge-based education in all institutions.
