Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has recommended Mirpur Bangla College field as an alternative to the Kamalapur stadium for the party’s rally on December 10 in Dhaka, according to BNP Vice-Chairman Barkatullah Bulu.
“We will tour both locations and make a decision,” Bulu said reporters after an almost three-hour discussion between a party delegation and Khandker Golam Faruq, the commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
Around 6:30 p.m., the delegation and the commissioner met at the DMP headquarters. The meeting lasted until about 9:15 p.m.
The delegation includes BNP Vice Chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu, Advocate AJ Mohammad Ali, Advocate Ahmed Azam Khan, Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, BNP Law Affairs Secretary Barrister Kaiser Kamal.
