Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that our aim is to build a better Bangladesh, calling the young society the artisans of building a better country. We will build a developed Bangladesh by 2041. Our young society will be the craftsman of that ’41.
The prime minister said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the ‘Sheikh Hasina Youth Volunteer Award’ ceremony on Sunday (September 11).
State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell handed over the awards to 11 awardees on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital in the morning. The Prime Minister was connected virtually from his official residence Ganobhaban. Each of the awardees was given Tk 1 lakh and a memento.
Sheikh Hasina said, our youth society is our great strength. Many countries in the world have now become countries of the elderly. We don’t want that to happen. Therefore, only this youth society of ours can fulfill the dream of the father of the nation by making Bangladesh a developed, prosperous golden bangla.
Bangabandhukanya said, our goal is to build a better Bangladesh. We will build a developed Bangladesh by 2041. We have formulated the program with that goal in mind. I have talked about becoming a middle income country by 2021. Today we have got the status of developing country. Bangladesh’s graduation took place on the birth centenary of the father of the nation and the golden jubilee of independence. It should not be delayed.
The Prime Minister said, it should be taken forward. Today our young society will be the craftsman of that 41. They will make the country a developed and prosperous country. We will move forward so that every person can have a good life.

The Prime Minister said that expatriate youth can take loan without collateral from Pravasi Kalyan Bank, we have arranged that. We have established IT Parks to learn technology and computers, so that youth can be trained in this sector. I have done community clinics across the country, there is also employment there. No youth will remain unemployed.
Alleging that Ziaur Rahman had handed over weapons and drugs to the youth society, Bangabandukanya said that the youth society was cut off from the direction of development after the killing of the father of the nation.
