RAB has arrested Shahinur Hossain Shaheen (40), the prime accused in the murder case of Zorarganj Union Chhatra League Joint General Secretary Ibrahim Raju of Mirsarai, Chittagong. He was arrested on Wednesday (September 7) from Alankar Mor in the city.
RAB-7 senior assistant director (media) confirmed the matter. Nurul Abhar. He said that on the night of July 9, Ibrahim Raju’s acquaintance Arafat told him that Shaheen Hossain had beaten him up. Let him go to the spot. On hearing the news, Ibrahim Raju immediately went to the spot along with his two friends. When Shaheen Hossain was asked the reason for the beating, Shaheen and his accomplices severely injured Ibrahim Raju by cutting various parts of his body with ram da, kirich, sharp knife, iron rod in their hands. After being taken to the hospital, the doctor declared Raju dead. In this incident, the victim’s father, Mahi Uddin, filed a murder case on July 11, mentioning the names of 16 people.The RAB official also said that after filing the case, RAB started intelligence surveillance with the aim of arresting the fugitive accused involved in the murder. At one point on Tuesday night from Alankar Mor area of Chittagong city. Shaheen Hossain Shaheen was arrested. Shaheen is the mastermind and the main accused in the murder case of Chhatra League leader Ibrahim Raju.
