Abdul Quader Jilani, a 21-year-old young man, went to Saudi Arabia after many attempts to restore his family’s fortune. He reached Madinah city last Tuesday around 6:30 pm Saudi time. He died in a road accident in the country on Wednesday. The accident happened on the way from Medina to Yanbu.
The deceased Abdul Quader Jilani’s house is in Newajpur village of Zayalskar union of Daganbhooya upazila of Feni. He is the eldest son of Khayez Ahmad Chowdhury of that village. After the news of the child’s death reaches home, the mother faints repeatedly. The family is mourning. After hearing the incident, the people of the village are flocking to the house.
The relatives said that before going to Saudi Arabia, Kader asked for prayers from whoever he met in the village. Who knew, he would lose like this.
Father Khayez Ahmed has asked the government for help to bring his son’s body back to the country.Khayez Ahmad said, what a cruel irony of fate, my eldest son died in a road accident the day after going to Saudi. His dream was to go to Saudi Arabia. Go there and do something. He used to dream about his younger brothers and sisters. But all his dreams ended in an instant.
He said, Kader is the eldest among four brothers and sisters. A younger sister is an Alim examinee, another sister is a class VIII student and a younger brother is studying in class VI.
Mamunur Rashid, Chairman of the local Jailskar Union Parishad, said that the boy was very polite. Everyone is shocked by the news of his death. I will ask for the cooperation of the Saudi expatriates in the area to bring his body to the country.
