Mahmud Ullah Riyad will be rested for the upcoming T20 tour of Zimbabwe. Wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan will lead the T20 team in that series. Sohan spoke to journalists in Mirpur today about his visit to Zimbabwe and his leadership.Getting the captaincy is a matter of pride, but Sohan’s thoughts are on the challenge ahead. Sohan said, ‘I am thinking about the challenge. No chance to get too excited. The goal is to give your best as a team.’
Sohan also said, ‘It is very important to play cricket without fear. If you think about the outcome in advance, the process is often not correct. The process is very important, not the result. I think being fearless is more likely to produce positive results. So our aim will be to play fearless cricket.’
Sohan also said that he learned a lot about captaincy from Mahmud Ullah. According to him, it is not possible to summarize the contribution of Pancha Pandavas in one or two sentences.
