Death toll rises to 4 after being hit by a train in Gazipur

The death toll has risen to four when a bus carrying workers was hit by a train at Maijpara level crossing in Gazipur’s Sreepur. One of the dead has been identified as Priya Akhtar (18).
Gazipur Deputy Commissioner Anisur Rahman said that four people have been killed in the incident so far. The families of the deceased will be compensated with Tk 20,000 and the injured Tk 10,000.
Earlier on Sunday around 7:30 am, a bus carrying garment workers collided with the Balaka Express train from Dhaka to Netrakona at Maijpara level crossing between Satkhamair and Kaurad railway stations in Sreepur. Due to this, the bus overturned due to the impact of the train. Workers of Zaman Fashion in Tepirbari area of ​​Sreepur were going to work in the bus. 9 more people injured in the accident are being treated at the hospital.
