Three vegetable sellers were killed when a covered van rammed into the sidewalk on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Narsingdi’s Raipura upazila. Six more people were injured when the covered van hit them at that time. The injured were rescued and sent to hospital.
The accident took place at Mahmudabad Machine House area of Musapur Union in the upazila at 5:30 am on Thursday. Bhairab Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mozammel Hossain confirmed the incident.
The deceased was the son of Fazr Ali of Mirzapur Union. Faruk Mia (50), son of Tayeb Mia of Mahmudabad village of the same union. Ripon Mia, 45, son of Mashkin, 45, and Sentu Mia.
