The Education Minister has held a meeting with the Private Teacher Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) on some of the existing issues including MPO registration of new teachers recommended for recruitment in the third public notification. Dipu Moni.

The meeting also decided to resolve the issue of MPO registration for those above 35 years of age. Besides, it has been decided that those posts which have not been filled will be filled from the waiting list.

Information and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education MA Khair confirmed this information on Sunday (April 18).

He said the MPO policy will be coordinated in all departments. If he has index in any department, he does not have to do new MPO in other department.

Earlier, the meeting of the Education Minister with the NTRCA Chairman, Secretary and concerned people started at 11 am in the meeting room of the Ministry of Education.

It is learned that in January this year, NTRCA gave recommendation letters to 34 thousand teachers recruited through the third public notification. These teachers applied for MPO in February after joining their respective schools. Among them, the Regional Education Office of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi) rejected the MPO application of teachers above 35 years of age.

The reason given is that according to the revised MPO policy of 2021, the maximum age limit for entry of teachers and employees in private educational institutions will be 35 years.

This has created complications with the MPO of 7,000 teachers even after being appointed through the third public notification. They have been teaching without pay for four months.

Earlier, at a recent press conference on when new teachers could join the MPO, the education minister said, “We have solved all the problems of NTRCA by holding a meeting last year.” Now again some new issues have come up. We are watching them.

The minister said that the age structure given in our MPO policy does not match with those who got jobs as per the directions of the court. But since there are court directions, we will bring them into that direction. Many also have problems with paperwork. Therefore, it is not possible to give without examination. We will resolve the issues.
