As part of the movement of drivers and guards, trains have stopped running across the country. No train has run anywhere since Wednesday morning. This situation was created due to cancellation of mileage, non-receipt of Baishakhi allowance, non-receipt of salary on time, train drivers as part of the movement, guards not running the train.
On Tuesday night, the drivers and guards’ organization decided not to run the train. Meanwhile, a Titas commuter train derailed at Akhaura railway station while shunting around 3pm on Tuesday. The rescuer later rescued the train but did not leave due to movement.
According to a driver, the lineage bill has been paid for one and a half hundred years. The finance ministry has called for a movement to disagree. The movement has been going on for almost two years.
Akhaura locoshed in charge. Delwar Hossain said five trains were stuck at Akhaura and Azampur stations due to the agitation. Among them, Titas commuter and two freight trains got stuck in Akhaura and Surma mail train got stuck in Azampur.
