Bappi Lahiri, veteran singer-composer, died in a Mumbai hospital after suffering from severe health concerns. His death was confirmed by a doctor at the hospital. On Tuesday night, he passed away at Mumbai’s CritiCare Hospital in Juhu. He was 69 years old at the time.
Bappi da, as he was affectionately known, was as well-known for his popular songs as he was for his fascination with gold. Bappi Lahiri was dubbed the ‘Disco King’ of Bollywood in the 1980s and 1990s, because to his hit songs from films like Namak Halaal, Disco Dancer, and Dance Dance.
