Doreen Power, a listed power producer, announced today that its subsidiary Chandpur Power Generation has completed 100 hours reliability test run.
The test run was completed as per the power purchase agreement signed with Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), the company said in a disclosure on the website of Dhaka Stock Exchange.
It has submitted a letter to BPDB on February 12 for issuance of a formal declaration certificate effective from February 11, 2022 as per the agreement, it said.
The heavy fuel oil-based power plant will generate 115-megawatt electricity and supply the same for 15 years, generating around Tk 1,102 crore revenue per year.
Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited (DSPGL) holds 99.90 per cent shares of the Chandpur based power producer.
